Moving towards tomorrow

ceitfiannaI'm currently at a hotel that's my normal stopping point between Michigan and Delaware but tonight is my rest between Delaware and Cincinnati. Tomorrow night, I'll be starting my two day interview by having dinner with some of the faculty and then then the next day, all sorts of meetings. The weather today has made me so happy as its been sunny out and I've been driving along and getting lots of writing ideas. Life is going forward in great ways.
I don't know what's going to come out of the interview but I know no matter what happens, I'll learn a little bit more. It's lovely to feel prepared and that's how I am. I have leftovers from my nieces' first communion brunch, choices for interview clothes and a chance to actually watch along on a few shows tonight. There are also fic and RP ideas bubbling around in my head that I want to do things with as I adore this feeling of hope and possibility.
The past few days have been strange and wonderful as well. I went to the book sale at the local library in Lewes and for ten dollars bought a fantastic bag of books along with finding a copy of Dogsbody while doing some clothes shopping. My nieces' first communion was odd, but it was nice to see that it clearly meant something to them and their mother and her parents. My parents and I pretty much went into observer mode for the mass because it didn't really mean that much to any of us. The party afterward was great too, this crowd of little kids that kept darting everywhere as adults clustered and laughed. That's my favorite sort of party full of good friends and family, too much food and wine, just an abundance of happiness.

I've had this image for a while now. I picked it up on one of my icon sites and its the one I use when I feel stuck. There's a goal ahead but it feels far in the distance.
At some point I realized that I didn't actually have any tea icons and so I went searching and found this at one of my favorite icon makers. It represents one of my favorite ways to spend an afternoon; drinking tea, eating good food and lost in a book.
Disney's Robin Hood is a movie that just makes me happy and I found these icons when I saw someone else on my flist using them and went ooh must find. In my mind, the little rabbit is that movie's version of Will Scarlett and I adore his face. I use this icon when things are going horribly.
I found this icon due to one of the challenges from 14valentines on this beautiful post of text icons. This one gets used on those days when it feels like the world or people are just being foolish or just me. It makes me feel better to go, oh just stop it at the world.
This was one of the icons that made me know that Jude Law could work for Moist as he just looks up to something. I call it change the furniture as that phrase is Moist to me and what I adore about him and there's something about the look in his eyes that captures it.

(Possibly it's another part of the same image I used for this one; I think that's Mimi's leg behind Angel, so.) It makes for a good happy icon.
burn down that bridge: Once upon a time I did manage to juggle two RPGs; this is from a thread there. I believe it was James and Sirius. Either way, it still makes me laugh, so the icon's stuck around.
live long and prosper (made by flamingo_bandit on LJ): It didn't take me long to decide my Warehouse 13 icons needed Steve in the mix as well, and "Kirk out - oh, and Spock too" is one of my favorite Jinksy moments. (The keywords now make me WEEP FROM IRONY, but what can you do?)
what is this i don't even: The keywords match the face. It also didn't take me long to decide I needed Rebecca icons in my life; what took a while was the show providing icon fodder. (But basically: I would totally watch the '50s Warehouse spinoff, if that were ever a thing.)
snacktime etiquette: And Valeriana Ebonstar strikes the icon meme for a second time! I can't help it, Valerie got a lot of iconnable lines (sadly, I don't think I can fit 'I've had dragon before, at my brother's wedding... we had his mother-in-law for dessert' into an icon, or I WOULD).
