ceitfianna: (a writer's life)

Tomorrow I start up work again, but I'm still figuring out how to fill my time. So as inspired by [livejournal.com profile] walksbyherself, I'm going to do a prompt meme. Pick one or many of the lyrics below and tell me a character, a pairing, a setting or any combination of them and I'll write you something. If you're not sure about something, just ask and I'll probably try writing it.

1-And searched through my dreams to find you
2-When your world's of madness
3-Dance all night in this depression
4-Sing my way back home
5-Swervin' on the bad side of luck
6-With these two hands and the rage I'm in
7-Bled out till empty on that hard worn trai
8-There's just no time for the delusion
9-And the wind is cold, your wings are broke

All the lyrics are from Junky Star by Ryan Bingham that I bought thinking it was someone else and I've quite enjoyed it.

Another little meme as I'm going to be uploading pictures soon and one will be from the last time I had this meme.
Ask me to take a picture of something in my life and I will.

In terms of finding out last night about Osama bin Laden's death, I'm still not sure what I feel. Last night I was feeling relieved and sad all at once, a death should never be celebrated but maybe this death will ease some of the war out there. I'm not sure if it will but I'm going to hope for that.

**hugs you**

I'm all in favour of killing leaders instead of armies of random soldiers and uninvolved civilian bystanders, but the celebrations were rather uncalled-for and a bit barbarian. For once, among international voices, the Vatican had it right when they said a person's death is never a reason for joy for a Christian, and instead this is an opportunity to reflect about the responsibility each of us has towards our fellow-humans and God to make sure the hatred doesn't grow worse now.-

Anyway, could you write something about Demeter and Teja for the first prompt, perhaps with the people in Gotland involved, or perhaps Carlotta?

I'm feeling sort of the same in regards to Osama. I feel a sense of closure and feel a small sense of justice but not the jubilation I'm seeing around. In fact with the way other people are celebrating it, I worry nothing has been accomplished as we're making him a martyr. I am very uncomfortable with the parallel of the jubilation his death is causing and the jubilation extremists felt after 9/11.

As for prompt, how about number eight for Thalia and William?

I'm not sure if you write for LotR or SPN, so I'll give you two choices - #2 for SPN or #4 for LotR (my latest fandom and my first fandom - unless you count The A-Team when I was seven). Any pairing, I'm easy like that.

Well, my OTP for each is Dean/Cas and Merry/Pippin, but honestly, I don't mind any pairing. I don't even mind Wincest (or elven twincest) and I do kind of like rare pairs, so you'll find it hard to squick me out. I'm equal opportunity, after all. So whatever you are comfortable with. :)
