I have plans for my internship, lots of good ones. Next week will start with meetings and I will accomplish stuff. Also the weather has cleared here which makes me so happy. Now its pretty, but not insanely hot. My birthday is next week and life is feeling good. I've made my sleep schedule better so I don't walk up and groan though my ankle has been bothering me, so my normal walk is rather painful.
Lately I've been feeling creative but without direction. I have all these little ideas floating around, but they need anchors so as inspired by
ashen_key, have some lyric prompts.
Pick a prompt, give me a character, pairing, situation (all my RP!verses are open game. Or anything you else you think I might be able to write) and I'll do my best to write at least one prompt per person.
All lyrics are from the Dixie Chicks who make me want to sing along.
1-If the exception proves the rule I guess that's true
2-The landslide will bring you down
3-If you ever want to find me I can still be found
4-When the boy gets that look in his eye
5-It might be love and all of the things he was so scared of
6-It's too late to make it right
7-A place in the clouds, a foundation of stone
8-I wanna grow something wild and unruly
9-So why is fighting all that we're good at anymore
10-Of love and gravity it pulls you so strong
11-I caught wind and hit the road runnin'
12-Couldn't keep me on my knees
13-But our children are watching us
14-Somebody tell my head to try to tell my heart
15-Whoa this bird can't sing when you've tied its wings

I wanna grow something wild and unruly
Date: 2010-06-05 11:45 am (UTC)"Maybe some hibiscus for color?"
Her mother joined in the laughter as red flowers bloomed atop the barely standing factory, "Let it grow."
Kore hugged her mother with laughter full of wild, true life, tomorrow someone will wonder what happened to that old weapons factory, for now a mother and daughter are letting life be free.

Date: 2010-06-06 02:17 am (UTC)So she found a copy of Once and Future King, her favorite version and read it, but that didn't help. She wasn't a seer or anything like that yet still she paced and hid in the rafters.
Then the door opened and he entered, worn and tired, and a king, a king of a world that was and wasn't for him but still a king.
There was blood mixed in with the stripes of his suit and she could feel the iron of a gun and even a knife on him.
His eyes were hurting and wild when she approached him, as skittish as any bird daring to near a great dog. He found a smile for her somewhere as she led him to a seat, feeling for injuries and winces at the iron of his gun, "I told you that I'd come back."
"Course you did and you're good at keeping your word." Something was broken in his eyes when she said that, and Tiwa opened her mouth and birdsong escaped before she found words, "Just keep finding your way back."
Never to her, no, but always back, the great tales keep finding ways to live, ever and ever unfolding somewhere.

The guards peered through the opening in the door, they had no idea why the two thieves were laughing, but it scared them.

Date: 2010-06-04 03:57 am (UTC)9 - Will (I'd love it if you could incorporate Nori though they've never met)
So why is fighting all that we're good at anymore
Date: 2010-06-06 02:34 am (UTC)He'd fought with Kate and Dust, kissed Kara and learned from Belle yet to call yourself a hero was something he would never dare.
To be Robin's Man was what he was and as he watched the woman with blue hair stare deep into her tea with things in it and not touch, he thought it was time to speak, "Folks know an 'member. Ye're seen."
She turned to him and looked so tired, "So?"
"So 'nother fights 'longside ye next time an world changes. Na more Sheriffs."
Apparently she saw something in green eyes, maybe another kind of hero, one without a name or a team yet a hero nonetheless and she nodded. As he drank beside her, Will didn't know if he'd told her anything true, but it kept him going through the long days.

Date: 2010-06-04 03:59 am (UTC)2 - Moist, losing at something.
3 - Tumnus, Narnia still lives.
4 - Will, captured.
5 - the PK, something cracky, maybe involving Leela? :D?
7 - Demeter, origins.
11 - Moist, leaving town in a hurry.
12 - Maybe Will and Porthos, teamwork?
15 - Tiwa, freedom. Possibly Tiwa-Renee, since she needs a little freedom. :)
YOU DON'T HAVE TO DO ALL OF THESE, I just wanted to give you options. :D
I caught wind and hit the road runnin'
Date: 2010-06-05 11:30 am (UTC)His grandfather taught him to ride but never could imagine him riding like this. Their world was always carefully bounded by fears and also what could be fought. The dogs were bred to protect rich men as the windows were barred against vampires and Moist learned to watch the moon and never go out after sunset. They never wished to know what were the men who bought these Lipwigzers guarding them or what their lives were like.
The road is always going away to the next town, the next opportunity and chance. As the sun rises, Moist chuckles as his horses' hooves create a steady drumbeat on the road, this is the life.

Date: 2010-06-07 06:17 am (UTC)So she walked over, it was odd just how fragile she looked, tucked in a corner of the couch and her eyes somewhere else, "Hey, you're not there anymore."
The girl jumped and Renee spotted the tattoo, she'd seen some like that before, a Special Forces guy from New Zealand.
While she noticed the tattoo, the girl pulled herself together slightly and smiled, it was a brighter and braver smile than Renee had managed on one of her bad days, "I know I'm free just some days, I forget."
Then she hopped up, it was a strange movement, more like a bird and Renee blinked, knees don't work like that, "Thank you. Its a nice day and I think I spotted some birds outside."
Renee wasn't sure if she agreed, but somehow instead of comforting a stranger, she found herself climbing a tree and laughing.

Date: 2010-06-05 06:35 am (UTC)That was when Moist spotted the horses and yelled at them, "Come on!"
His yell got a glare, but honestly it was the only option left and they needed to get going. Saffron ended up behind him, since he mounted faster than Urquhart and Moist did enjoy seeing Urquhart frown like that as Saffron kissed his ear.
Then they were off and riding like the wind, somehow they just made it to her ship and took off, laughing as they looked over their haul.

Date: 2010-06-05 06:27 am (UTC)Sameth had always kept his workshop as open as he could to all the children, and she was the one who understood those times when he couldn't explain.
Today he was talking to her about strengthening the Wall as he shaped rock and soil with his fingers and Charter Marks,
"It wants to be strong and solid, but you have to teach it how to reach out and do more. The Charter helps you do that by moving beyond the rock and into the fabric of the Old Kingdom."
"So I have to teach it to be strong?"
"Strong and connected, because without the connection, it won't last."
Then he formed another Charter Mark and from the soil in his fingers, a small wall rose.

Whoa this bird can't sing when you've tied its wings
Date: 2010-06-07 12:31 am (UTC)So Tiwa sat by the fire and eyed the various piece of paperwork as she considered tearing them up and burning them. Kaa should be given the freedom to grow and the government had decided that she'd grown as far as she would.
Ben found her and took one look at her face before saying, "Come on."
"Where?"
"Its a secret."
"Ben?"
But he didn't give her a chance to say more and lead her out the door to a desert vista where Gabriel waited. He mounted and pulled her up behind him and then said something to Gabe to make him gallop and Tiwa laughed.
It wasn't flying, but it was close. When Ben heard her laugh, he knew she'd find a way round whatever was making her frown.

A place in the clouds, a foundation of stone
Date: 2010-06-07 06:26 am (UTC)Tiwa kept bringing things from her classes, books and she'd laugh with the kids who kept gathering. She didn't know as much French, but she knew how to speak kid and Carl would find himself laughing as he hammered boards on the porch.
One day when the roof decided it was done and suddenly collapsed and everyone was talking to much. He heard a clear note of song and all the heads turned and Tiwa said something to the kids, he didn't catch it and they were gone.
Some of those children had been warriors and there were days when gunfire was in the distance that Carl knew that Tiwa was staying too long. Yet he knew that if he mentioned it to her she'd shake her head, and sooner than he thought, the school opened. No one ever knew quite where all the flowers and some of the food came from, but it felt like a beginning.
Before he let her through the door to Milliways, Carl was sure he saw Tiwa at one point singing with a glow and he wondered again just what she was.

It's too late to make it right
Date: 2010-06-14 04:31 am (UTC)John didn't say anything for a long time but Will felt a hand on his shoulder, "Did all we could."
"Shoulda stopped 'er. 'e just canna die."
Then John just held him and they cried in that quiet room where no one can see them for the man that gave them another chance at life.

(And of course Sarah McLachlan's "Bring on the Wonder" is playing as I read this. Augh.)
