Tiwa wanted to shout at the world, she had a student who had an imagination that was rarely seen, but no one else cared to nurture it. The child was from a complicated family and had some issues that would not make them suitable for a gifted program.
So Tiwa sat by the fire and eyed the various piece of paperwork as she considered tearing them up and burning them. Kaa should be given the freedom to grow and the government had decided that she'd grown as far as she would.
Ben found her and took one look at her face before saying, "Come on."
"Where?"
"Its a secret."
"Ben?"
But he didn't give her a chance to say more and lead her out the door to a desert vista where Gabriel waited. He mounted and pulled her up behind him and then said something to Gabe to make him gallop and Tiwa laughed.
It wasn't flying, but it was close. When Ben heard her laugh, he knew she'd find a way round whatever was making her frown.
