Lazy Day

Since I haven't actually accomplished anything to do with grad stuff today except sending one email, I thought that I'd post all that I can of the Tiwa plot. My players are utterly wonderful and I still want to give you guys the big ending, its just the timezone and scheduling gods have been cruel.

A mage and a vampire did plot to catch a bird and scare a Freehold as friends and allies gather. A rescue sets in motion with swords, madness of many sorts as those of mortal means full of rage and magic fight to destroy the cage.

(OOC: Not all of the threads are done but I wanted to post this since its gone on longer than I expected.)

Strange Night

A little before 1 am, the light's went out in the house and I rushed about looking for candles and flashlights. Its now 6 am and the power has just come back on and I'm about ready to sleep.

In the end I really didn't accomplish much of anything to do with work yesterday and haven't really slept at all so far tonight because the way the power went out surprised me and kind of unnerved me more than I expected.

So I have spent the last few hours working on icons and then reading National Geographic and the New Yorker and then Howl's Moving Castle, life is odd and I'm going to try and get some decent sleep if I can.

Also its strange that what kept me up wasn't too much being scared though that was a bit of it, watching a miniseries on sci-fi was partly to blame but more the light's just snapped out so suddenly without even blinking, it honestly made me jump.

I fiddled with icons for a bit and I think I might have a possible pretty base of a Tiwa-James one, its not actually them instead the Gryffindor Lion and some pretty fantail art with the phrase Gryffindor Lion, Piwakawaka, Nothing but Sky! I'm being terribly rambly because honestly I'm tired and still a bit wired, this was an unexpected late, late night.

The power outage was a planned utility thing that when I talked to my dad he went oh I read something in the paper about that ages ago. So presumably somewhere there is a clipping saying this would happen which I missed.

I'm still grumbly because having the power suddenly cut out like that on your own is freaky. Now I think I'm going to go to the library and I don't think I'm awake enough for Starbucks and highway driving so I will take my studying to the library.

That way I can ask my friend the librarian for a reference, get some work done and then do some RPing before I fall over due to lack of sleep.
