It Snowed and its June!!!
Jun. 3rd, 2005 05:37 pmThis morning as Rowan and I were walking down the hill to where I worked it started to snow and really nice white snow that covered everything. It made walking down the hill a slightly longer task, but I've missed snow. I last had winter last year and I missed it. And walking in the snow is just one of the best things and watching it transform Dunedin. Especially because we were the first ones on it as the snow was falling so there were only our footprints. And the snow caught on Rowan's hat and scarf and he just looked happy. Then work wasn't too bad since we all spent the first half hour talking about snow experiences and I just liked it since this kind of weather feels like home. Though its very odd having it in June, which prompted Rowan to say, "Welcome to the Southern Hemisphere.", which just made me smile. So its Friday night and the day was long, but I was left to my own devices so it went quickly and I've got a long weekend since Monday is the Queen's Birthday and a holiday in New Zealand. Which means I get to sleep in on Monday and its my last week at Arthur Barnett's and my birthday on Wednesday, so life is good though a bit chilly.
Oh and here is a bit of silliness for Star Wars fans and anyway who likes a good laugh that a good family friend sent me, so enjoy.

Also I got free cake at work since a woman was leaving and it was sitting down in the cafeteria when I had morning tea. So I am bouncy and sugary, a good mood for a chilly night that starts a long weekend.
