Being an Us

This is Rowan and me being an us and its a wonderful thing. I'd been taking it for granted, because work makes me so tired that all I want to do is just sink into his arms that I sometime forgot how lucky I was to just have him there. Also we realized that we didn't have any real pictures of us together and so we went searching around Dunedin and found machines to take your picture and make stickers out of it. After letting one machine eat four dollars, because we couldn't make it not have a stupid background and the japanese woman's voice was driving us both nuts, we gave up for a bit. Then we went into Hoyt's, one of the movie theatres and tried again. This was the end result and that's how Rowan really smiles, I'm actually tickling him just to make sure he wasn't too nervous and I think it worked. And now everyone can see the wonderful man in my life who knock on wood will come back to the States with me to try the next adventure in life.
Okay other news of the weekend, the Hurricanes lost, but that doesn't need to be looked into. I think I may have finally got enough sleep this weekend with Rowan's persuading. And Star Wars rocks, its just an amazing movie, its sad, tragic and has some wonderful moments. If you love Star Wars, go see it since I promise you won't be dissapointed. We saw it with a full house on a huge screen with a group that we organized from the Tolkien Society, so good conversation before and afterwards. Though one of the women had worked at Rialto, where we saw it and kept lecturing us on when should get in line and everything, which made Rowan jumpy. Since we'd been there for about two hours ahead of time wondering. But otherwise a good time.
Sunday was more sleep and a lazy day, Rowan was working on a paper so headed back to my flat to change and say hi to my landlord who's been in the north island for about a month. I was stressing about paying my rent and all, but I needn't of worried. He said, I'll call you one night this week and we'll figure it out. Such a wonderful change, since my last awful landlord once called me to see if I still had a job since he hadn't noticed me paying him that afternoon. The weather feels like fall here and sometimes winter, which is very odd. Its May and will be my birthday soon, but the days are cold and grey and misty. All very odd. Just a reminder that I am on the other side of the world. I think that's all my news for now, I'm really looking forward to June, appparently a birthday package is in the mail for me, Rowan's going to take me out to dinner on my birthday and ending work at Arthur Barnett's and just having time off will be wonderful. To sleep and be rested enough that I can do more stuff.
