Today was a very good day and I now have even more neat stuff for my apartment including a toaster oven and some neat Guiness pub glasses. I've been meaning to do this meme for a bit but the holiday got in the way so I'll do it now and I'll just type up once the words I was given twice.

New Zealand

New Zealand was the first place where I ever felt like an adult because I supported myself and had my own place and I miss it a lot for that. I loved how its a country that takes your breath away and the people are so kind and wonderful. Someday I'll return there but it will probably be as a tourist though I wouldn't mind working there again. I utterly fell in love with the country and that's why I went back for my last two years even though the Classics masters was just not good for me in a lot of ways other than being in a place I enjoyed.

Will Scarlett Will was one of the first fictional characters that I ever really fell in love with and wrote fiction about. I think I was fascinated by this young man who was so connected to Robin Hood and didn't feel the need to share a lot of the spotlight. Also the complicated interactions with Little John and all the different ways he's been portrayed on screen. Since I've stated playing him, I've discovered so much more about him and I love testing him against other worlds and places.

Demeter I started playing Demeter because of

tahira_saki who had Kore-Persephone in her head and that woke Demeter up. I love the contradictions within her, that of all the gods, she's in some ways one of the quietest yet also one of the most powerful. The fascinating dichotomy of her sexuality and her motherliness makes me so happy since wonderful things keep coming out with her. I love of late how Gaeta has actually brought out the goddess aspect of her more than anyone else even though he's not even sure he believes.

Tiwa Tiwa was created because I miss playing Changeling the Dreaming and New Zealand. I actually meant to start playing her in February 2008 before I came back from New Zealand but there was a fire in my building and my last week and a half there was horribly crazy. So she had to wait and I first played her in Shatterverse which was interesting but I soon discovered that she needed her own home to interact with and now she lives in mixed_muses. Amazingly she actually has the exact username I wanted her to have just with an underscore though as I started playing her, her age went up. She was meant to be fourteen or so but the combination of her PB, who's a French pop star and her interactions just bumped her up. I think she's been to at least as many worlds as Will and is close to him in terms of tagging out and being so talkative and social. I adore how she's become one of the pups that if you're trying a voice out in mixed muses, there's a really good chance that you've threaded with her.

Milliways Milliways woke up my creativity in ways that I can't even describe.

daniidebrabant had been trying to get me into it before I went to New Zealand for the last time and for a while I thought I might play a pup from Lord of the Rings. Well I thought about it but all the ones I wanted to play were gone and nothing was really sticking. Then Danii came to visit me and during that one weekend hooked me on Slings and Arrows and Supernatural then as she was leaving we got talking again and I thought of Will. Suddenly everything clicked and I think I apped him right at the end of the cycle but I didn't play him for the end of the month. That was because I flew out to New Zealand the day after I apped him and then had spotty internet access for a while and also wasn't sure what to do, Danii and Cam were so helpful in terms of getting me settled. That's one reason I'm so good with slowtime, I started playing in a really bizarre timezone, Wellington is three hours later even than where Ashie is.

Narnia I started reading Narnia very early on and I just loved it so much, but I haven't read the last book, I don't want to even now. I just don't want the series to end. Oddly I didn't find out about the Christian aspects until my sophomore year of college when one of my roommates explained them to me, I had a duh moment and then just shrugged. I love the world he created and the characters not what his aim was.

Crackchat I didn't discover crackchat until I'd been playing for a few months, Di brought me I think and I just loved it. It reminded me of the lunch table where I went to college, or dinner table with crazy flowing conversations and weird senses of humor all together. When I was feeling really isolated during my last year in New Zealand, crackchat helped a lot because I knew that I could always find good conversation there and ideas and just people who thought sort of the way I do.

Becoming Jane Becoming Jane came out in New Zealand right around my birthday and I saw it first as a birthday present to myself on a horrible rainy night and then again, it just made me so happy. Then

dynastessa started playing Tom Lefroy in Bar and I loved talking with her about and doing all sorts of wonderful things. Jane Austen is one of my favorite authors and I loved the take on her life so much. It took me so long to app Jane because I was terribly worried about getting her wrong but I love playing her because she's a great challenge.
