This is from
dynastessa and I'm in the right, odd frame of mind to do it. I had posted this earlier but didn't get any responses, thought I might post it again and just answer the questions since I like them.
1. Leave me a casual comment. Could be anything you want to share, acompliment, a song lyric, or it could be a simple, "Do me next!!"
2. Once you have done this, I will reply by asking you five personal questions.
3. Update your LJ with the questions and their answers.
4. Include this explanation and offer to ask someone else in your own post.
5. Complete the cycle when someone comments on your entry by asking them five questions in a reply. (BUT ONLY IF YOU WANT TO; I don't actually expect responses. xD;)
1) When you were a child, what was the one thing you knew you wanted to be when you grew up? (Even if it's something like 'a pink elephant!')
I wanted to be a bard and go walking the world, telling stories. I still kind of want to be one though I've yet to figure out how to actually accomplish this.
2) Is there a scent that reminds you of something meaningful, or a moment or person in your life? If so, what is the scent and what does it remind you of?
The smell of jasmine and lilac always make me think of my Grandmother and I'll literally stop and look for her even though she's been dead many long years. I connect those scents with her because I remember being little and visiting her room that was purple and lovely and smelled of beautiful flowers. It took me time to learn the names of the scents but I search them out now since to me they're here and a place of growing and safety.
3) If you could be any inanimate object, what would that object be and why?
A journal or a pen, because they have just potentional within them and I'd get to be a vessel for someone's thoughts and dreams.
4) Imagine that you've won a ginormous jackpot lottery (like 30 million dollars) all in one go. How would you distribute/spend the money; and would it make you happier, or more miserable in the long-run?
I think I'd start off by paying off any debts that any family or friends had accrued, just give everyone who needs it a blank slate, debt free. Then I would go and fund libraries and museums and schools, places to share knowledge as much as possible. I think I'd use some of the money to just travel and find myself a hideaway, a house that is just my place where I can have friends and family over to just be. In the end, I'm not sure if it would make me happy since to me money is useful but not really a thing in and off itself.
5) If you could bring anyone back from the dead, just once, who would it be and why? I think either my Grandmother on my mother's side or my Great-Aunt Ruth, because I'd want to tell them what I'm doing and just listen to them. So many questions about their lives I never got to ask and just what advice they might have about how I can do my best to be myself. Since I'm feeling a bit lost at the moment and they both always had such an incredibly clear sense of who they were.
Oh and the Lord of the Rings tour was lots of fun and tiring since I had to wake up early. One more full day, one more night and then traveling.
