This one last stolen from [livejournal.com profile] lienne, but I really like the idea of it.

I know very little about some of the people on my friends list. Some people I know relatively well. I read your journals, or we have something else in common and we chat occasionally. Some of you I hardly know at all. Perhaps you lurk, for whatever reason. But you friended me and I thank you for your interest in my words.

But here's a thought: why not take this opportunity to tell me a little something about yourself? Any old thing at all, the more trivial and fascinating, the better. Just so the next time I see your name I can say: "Ah, there's so and so...they enjoy nose-picking on balmy summer evenings, and have a giant birthmark shaped like a wildebeest on their right buttock."

I'd love it if every single person who friended me would do this. Yes, even you people who I know really well. Then post this in your own journal and see what gems of knowledge appear.

...Although really, if you choose to keep mum on the nose-picking, I'm fine with that.

When I was a smallish child I used to take a book to the bathroom at school and not come out until a classmate was sent in to fetch me.

No birthmarks, but I do have a bald spot just above my right temple that I've had since I was a baby.

I blame the forceps that were used during that whole birth process.

The three scars I have on my hands come from, respectively, a pencil, a bagel, and a pair of child's scissors.

The lesson we draw from this is that I cannot be trusted with small, apparently harmless objects, period.

I have a scar on my thigh that looks like claw marks. I tell people its from this time I fought a Cougar.

Really its from this time I was running around in a movie theater with my brother before the show. I slammed into an arm rest and the keys in my pocket scraped the hell out of my leg. I don't think it really bled, but there is a scar there.

I am twenty.

I have about 420 small plastic animals, mainly dogs and cats, on shelves in my bedroom.

My little toes have nails like claws.

My father and I probably have mild forms of Asperger's syndrome.

I fear failing med school, London, unidentified insects, tall buildings and things falling on my head.

On my bedroom wall, I am broadcasting the words 'ACTUAL REALITY, ACT UP, FIGHT AIDS' in black marker on an A2 poster sized piece of brown parcel paper. The words are made up of hundreds of little pictures.

I find it almost impossible to throw things away.

I have written poetry and fanfiction about bacteria.

I have names for my laptop (Otto), MP3 player (Slug), bicycle (Nymphodora) and brother's car (Sophie).

I talk to myself.

Under the right circumstances, I burst into spontaneous song to describe the situation (I began doing this as a child because I saw it on TV so much I thought it was normal). I only do this when there's nobody around these days.

My hobbies include martial arts, rock gospel choir, and pool.

On occasion, I have been known to think in the past tense, as if I were writing an LJ entry.
