Another meme borrowed from a couple of people on my friend's list. Also its sunny today and my seminar presentation went rather well, nervewracking but well for anyone wondering. I'm on the lookout for a part time job over the summer since it'd be nice to actually have extra money to spend.

For the icon one, since I only have one icon on this journal, please use will_scarlett icons too.

Name either a character or a relationship between characters (not necessarily romantic) from canons I know and/or Milliways and I will a.) give my rambling opinion of him/her/it and b.) tell you one thing I really like about him/her/it.

That's all for now, I'm tired and feeling like I'm fighting something off, but life is good. pastrydeity seems to be enjoying Milliways and my small plot is going really well and almost finished too.

I must friend you, keep meaning too.

Marlowe and Will are first off two of the truest Englishmen in the Bar in terms of understanding worlds of violence and what you need to risk to keep your home safe. Kit scares Will at times since Will truly sees within himself the possibility of someday becoming that tired and broken by what he needs to do to keep Nottingham safe.

Yet he's also amazed and blown away by the fact that Marlowe can create. I think that's the really fascinating balance of the two, Will sees himself as just a man of motion and action, while to me Marlowe has still identifies as a poet but what he's done as a spy has scarred him. I love how they play off each other as being so similiar in terms of what they fight for yet the price has changed them both.

Atton and Will?

I first wanted to tag Atton because I loved reading his interactions with Guppy and Sam. I like how in terms of their worlds, Will and Atton seem incredibly far apart but when it comes down to their personalities and how they treat their friends they are very alike.

They both share an intense loyalty and worry for anyone they consider a friend and worry far too much when someone they care about is hurt. Also they both will with very little thought put their own life on the line to save or help a friend, while at the same time having this brilliant dark humor. They make me smile and I think they need lots more hugs.

Sariel-will

I've been thinking about this relationship all day and found that its rather complicated. It started out that Will was just being generous and wanting to help her be safe and comfortable in Milliways, but along the way they kept finding things in common.

I like how they seem to have this balance of sometimes he's the older one in terms of how harsh his world is, but then sometimes she's clearly more mature as he becomes more of a teenager.

I love how patient she is with him and willing to smile and welcome his silliness, while they both seem to know that if somethings bad there's a friend they can lean on. The fact that they don't need to say a lot to get things across to each other is also really wonderful to me, the friendship and understanding happened quite easily.
