Back in Wellington

ceitfiannaI arrived yesterday morning after lots of flight time and not feeling too healthy, I think I ate something that disagreed with my since my stomach hurt most of the Pacific flight. Though I'm much better now, but I got a bit of shock when I got back and Phil had moved out and slipped the Arty Bees gift certificate under the door with no note. So I had a long walk around town and a good cry and feel a bit better. I would have liked to have something with him and actually saw him in town, but wouldn't know what to say. While I was away, I wrote him emails that he never answered, so tis pretty obvious, he's not interested. He was a good flatmate so I'll hold unto to the that.
The weather is a welcome change from Pennsylvania, warm and springlike, so rain here and there. I woke up early this morning to go to a late orientation and then enjoyed my valentine's money with a lovely facial and such. I now feel lovely and luxorious and only wish I had someone to hold a bit. But I'm having a great time planning for milliways and Danii has made me Will pictures. will_scarlett, not the greatest physical description but that's always tricky for me. Oh and I have a new flatmate, Chris from Boston, an english major and nice guy. Also I just wrote the proposal for my master's and feel really happy about it, I'm going to give it an edit and then send it to the Faculty of Humanities and my advisor and then get started. Still need to find a job, but I've got a good resume, so I think I'll be okay. And tonight, there's a Vic International welcome party, which is always fun and close. So that's really all for now.

Date: 2007-02-16 03:16 pm (UTC)You're lucky on the weather front--they had to close sections of 78 after people were stuck there for in some cases 20 hours, thanks to the snow and ice.
What's your master's going to be about? I don't remember if you already told me, and I like living vicariously through other people's education. :)

Date: 2007-02-16 07:49 pm (UTC)Well the flight was late leaving and they had to de-ice the plane and we needed to get another flight crew, ours was stuck in upstate New York and apparently Richard Simmons and Paula Abdul were on the plane, didn't matter to me too much. I just wanted to start travelling. So a weird flight but oddly we got to LA on time.
