Election Day

The weather's sunny and it looks like both Santorum and Curt Weldon will be out of power in Pennsylvania, its a nice feeling to know that my little vote may have made a small difference in the landslide against these guys. At the moment, I"m trying to study for my Aristophanes' exam tommorow, filling out forms to be doing a master's thesis next year and worrying how badly I've messed things up with Phil. So far we appear to have chereographed things so we don't interact, I'm dissapointed but hell I don't know if I complimented, scared or insulted him. Anyone have any advice on this situation, someone I hung out with a lot, talked to about many things and then told I liked him in an email and now haven't seen? Well at least I have an illusion of power with classes and the election, but I must say, I've spent most of today trying not to think about the election. Tis easier being in New Zealand since its not clogging the airwaves, but I won't feel comfortable until I know if we have any kind of margin in the House or Senate. Until then, I"m going to try and relearn what I knew about the Aristophanes' plays and go through the lists in my head of what I have to do before I leave.
When I get back, I'm going to be looking for friends in the tri-state area and phoning ones farther away. I really miss the feel of Randy-Mac sometimes, when I could just walk down a hall or to another building and find a friend. We had it really good there in some ways, though I wouldn't want the classics department back. Don't get me wrong, I really like Wellington and such, just having a moment of wanting a place to escape or to study next to a friend. Ah well, I know college was a bubble that world behind the red brick wall, but it was a nice one and I'm grateful to all the friends I've hung on to. Off to study and try not to worry about the election results.
