So I'm trying out Imzy though I haven't figured out the friends' bit and no idea how it'll work, but same name as here over there. Also I have invites if anyone wants to try it out. The commenting for comms seem to have good threading but I haven't figured out the friending bit yet.

I don't think there is friending, it's just communities. So if you want people to follow your posts you need to make a community for yourself (there is a personal blog category.)
