Fighting a Cold and good days

Since I last posted, I've had a pretty good week other than being sick and falling asleep at points I wanted to be awake. So the week started out with me feeling like a kind of antisocial person due to sickness since
mashugenah invited me for coffee, but my body said no you will sleep. Thus I've slept quite a bit this week and now feel healthy again. Okay, back to the point, early part of this week, I spent feeling tired and worn out. Oh and on Sunday, I arranged a bed and breakfast for my parents to stay, which worked out fairly well except on Monday, I found out I had the dates slightly off. Combine this with feeling under the weather and I felt awkward because I didn't have the right info for the bandb. This was quite silly and I explained it to my parents on yesterday and felt better, its hard when things go wrong when you feel sick, everything just seems worse.
So Wednesday night was all about feeling better, I watched the first Pirates movie with my flatmate Phil and we ordered in Hell's pizza, best pizza in Wellington, and felt much better. Sleeping in and having a day without class is lovely. Then today was my day for random social interactions. I had class from 11 to 1, talking about Aristotle and Plato's view of democracy, interesting, but I wasn't that awake. Then an hour and a half of work in progress seminars from other honours students again interesting but at that point I just wanted lunch. Finally, lunch and then one of the classics guys, not in my classes since he's a latin guy, sat down and we talked while having lunch. Just a nice, good random conversation and I feel really bad that I don't remember his name, but I socialized and didn't feel sick.
Then Gaming club, which is always enjoyable. I learned how to play three new card games: Munchkin: the joys of Knights of the Dinner Table, Unexploded Cow: Mad Cow Disease and WWII bombs in France basically silliness, and finally Lunch Money: fighting card game. Then a good run of Claremont Academy with some new players and old ones and lots of sugar. Also a rather complex fighting scene, but definitely fun. I then started walking back with a newish person to me, new to Gaming club but not Vic. We grabbed dinner and nice random talk and I leant him the first Pirates movie. So a good night and once the internet stopped being horribly spotty, I could even read my email. Two enjoyable random conversations and just fun hanging out at Gaming club. Though whenever I leave gaming club, I think on SFF and miss my friends from Randy-Mac, but I won't be over here forever.
In other news, I really want to watch Firefly, but my computer poses issues such as being region 1. So to all Gaming club people who read this, if you have Firefly on cd or region 1 dvd, please may I borrow it. I have the new Harry Potter on dvd, if you want a lending exchange and music cds to play with. I wish to be educated in Firefly, I've seen Serenity and two episodes, which is not enough. Thank you and now to enjoy the internet while it lasts. Also Phil has introduced me to Crytonomicon and I now have a nice big book to read.
