Adventures in Weather

I just experienced my first tornado warning while at work. That meant that I spent about an hour and half of my three hour shift down in the basement of the grad. I just got home and the sky is beautiful, there's thunder and lightning but the rain seems to have mainly passed. I took a few pictures before my walk that I think will work out. Oddly I'm feeling rather more tired than I expected. I think that's due to the fact that I was already tired today and then waiting in the basement where there's not much signal meant little news.
At lunch I had finished Discount Armageddon, which was a great ride of a book so I didn't have a book to read. Instead it was this odd situation of getting into odd conversations with librarians I knew and didn't know as we all waited after shooing students downstairs. Now I'm home and I stopped on the way to buy myself an almond steamer because steamed milk always makes me feel better. I also picked up a sandwich at the same cafe as it's a night for hunkering down.
If I can get my head in the right place, I'm going to post a fic tonight. It's been mainly done for a while and I feel ready to post it. It will be something done, which I need a lot this week as what isn't getting done seems to be eating away inside me. I've signed up for a networking fair at the end of this month, I've taken another step for one job and I have ones I need to apply for. Also I have an idea for a blog post that I really want to write which is a way to get my voice heard as well.
It's tough to put myself out there, but I can do it. It's just a matter of little steps that all add up. Now for my chicken wrap, steamer, the new Project Runway and posting of a fic.
