Not Properly Awake

Its almost 5 o'clock and I really don't feel awake. I hate this feeling as I have a long list of things I'd like to get done. My main goal for today will be to do laundry as that doesn't require a huge amount of moving and I'm in need of it. I'm enjoying my new laptop quite a lot since its so easy compared to my other one and just works.

My coming week doesn't have a lot in terms of going to work or class in it but I have various stuff on my list.

Oh and in odd things that make me grumpy, my hall light has gone out once again. I think there must be something up with it as the lights in my kitchen and bedroom haven't but it feels like I replace this one every few months. I know I use it more but it feels far too often. Also I hate changing it since I have to stand on a step stool and deal with the weird light cover. If I could find a wording I liked, I'd mentioned it to my landlord as I like having a hall light.

Today though I'm not going to worry about any of that and instead post a meme that I'm pretty sure austen started this round. She has the best memes.

Oh and I haven't forgotten about that other prompt meme but my writing has been odd lately. I did a huge amount on the Jane fic and now its slowed, but my plan is to balance class/work writing with fun writing.

And I totally know what you mean by writing being odd. Ever since that big Ben OOM I can't get any other character in my head or continue with the next story arc of his canon. Of course if I had some down time at work this might be easier. I want to finish that William/Thalia picnic dang it!

William didn't know that much about cooking other than what his mother told him to do. That's why he was surprised when Thalia grinned at him and pulled him into the Milliways' kitchen to make brownies.

It wasn't like her but what he didn't know was seeing her brother again meant she kept thinking about when things were good for a time growing up. With the Hunters, it wasn't possible to bake things but she knew that he'd help her and not ask too many questions.

The brownies ended up tasty though the kitchen was a mess since they both thought the recipe didn't have enough chocolate. Neither of them had laughed that much in a while and they were figuring out this friends thing though they almost kissed, which was unexpected.

Thanks, it just came together easily. Also I can see them navigating that complicated place of I like you and sometimes like you more than a friend even though they know its a bad idea.

So when they do something silly and out of the ordinary for both of them that's when the walls come down, which is why they did click. They bring the unexpected out in each other and then when things in their lives change, that part doesn't but how they react to it has to.

I think if headvoices will cooperate this could be an idea to play with in threads. I'm not sure exactly how but somehow. I love when little fic gives character insight.

I like this idea and I like Thalia struggling a bit with the Hunter Oath as it would give the Oath more meaning.

It really would and William would feel guilty too as he's from a much politer time and doesn't want to make trouble for her.

I could see them having over time many fun things that suddenly turned awkward because they're still just teenagers even though they both act so much older.

Definitely something we'll have to keep in mind. I also think it could be fun for Thalia to visit Williams world but I don't know how small his town is and if a stranger showing up would draw attention.

Long after the Titanic had been consigned to the waves, Rose had moments of wishing she had jumped. Constantly she tried to live as truly as she knew Jack would have wished her to but at every turn she met with those who looked down upon her.

One night as she was exploring in the South Pacific, she stood by the churning waves and cried.

No one found her until the morning when the waterfront cafe was being opened and a kind woman said, "Oh child, let me make you some tea."
