Borrowed from wanderlustlover as I've decided to just enjoy tonight and this looks like a fun meme.

And I will ramble on about if:
1. I like it, or not.
2. Why I like it if I do.
3. What would make me like it if I don't.
4. If I'd write it/rp it.

Little John/Marian.

It took me about five minutes to come up with that, most of which was spent spinning around trying to remember who's who in Abhorsen, or whether Dem/Hades makes my brain break too much.

I don't even try to figure out how my brain works, any more.

I can't see that relationship existing at all, Marian belongs with Robin. They suit each other and also they understand each other due to being from the same background in a way that the others don't.

Also I always see Little John and Tuck as the older of the Merry Men so they watch over and that makes the relationship strange in my head.

He would give advice to Robin and try and help him out, but never be with Marian. I don't know of how in the world I could even figure out how to RP that and so wouldn't.

Moist/Adora -- I know they are canon, but I'd like to hear what you ultimately say about them.

*cracks knuckles* I have lots of things to say about this romance because it felt like the weak link in Going Postal. It felt to me like Pratchett was trying to make it do far too many things such as have there be a real person that Moist knows he messed up with one of his jobs and a connection to the Clacks.

Adora is a fascinating character and I read their first interactions as Moist going, I wonder if I could get her to go out with me. Much more as I need to have her on my side with the golems and I wonder if I can. So she's this odd combination of a great character on her own who doesn't need to be quite so many plot points at one time. If the relationship part felt like it mattered less, I think I'd prefer it and I dislike the idea of them marrying. It just sits wrong with my view of how Moist works.

The only thing is I can't see them actually lasting long term, they don't seem well suited at all, but they fell into the fact that Pratchett likes couples. He knows how to write some really good couples but this isn't one of them.

I'd be wary of RPing them, because I don't fully buy their relationship. So I'd have to do some twisting or make it shorter and make Moist AU to feel happier with how they work or don't work.

Well, if you ever take Moist into canon, I'll volunteer for Spike. With Milliways in the background, we could make it work in an interesting AU way...

That could be interesting but I'm currently putting it off for a while since I just really enjoy pre-canon.
