I talked to the prof and she just wanted to make sure I was getting things. It didn't take me very long, I'd missed how to put together the syntax when I wasn't in class last week. Once I saw that and how to pick search terms better it all really fell into place.

Her tone in the emails was hard and she did not quite yell but be kind of firm at me during the meeting, like making me state things instead of questioning when I told her what to put down. I think that's her way and it is useful just again, its not the easiest style of teaching. So I'm going to redo the assignment this weekend if I can find the time if not early next week, send it to her and then move on to this week's.

I'm feeling better about things, but I woke up with my back hurting so I'm going to try and relax as much as I can for the rest of today. That means enjoying the really nice 5 bucks from Borders to buy a cheap CD and RPing into the evening along with filling prompts.

Also work was incredibly quiet, which was nice. It was annoying that I was up just slightly too late to grab my morning tea but that's not a big deal.

Thanks for all the helpful advice and support, I needed it.

Phew. I'm glad that worked out for you.

I think sometimes teachers have no clue how they come across to students. It's a power thing, for sure, but it's also so ingrained in the way they teach that they can't ever be the ones to change. I remember so much of that from when I was an education major, and it's part of what turned me off from a teaching career.

I'm glad things worked out and I'm sorry the teacher is so difficult to get along with.
