Lazy Sunday

ceitfiannaOutside, its horribly humid and I still feel gross from walking in it. Yet, I managed to find a really nice muffin pan for under twenty dollars and had waffles for brunch. Though I think the ice cream on the waffles is sitting a little heavy on my stomach. I don't have to work tonight or tomorrow night, so it feels like I have time off, which is nice.
Last night, I finished up my D&D game with my friends and we made plans for more games and possibly seeing Inception. Tonight I will make banana muffins and if I can find a version of the recipe that my friends had, maybe a hard boiled egg curry. Oh and along with the game, there was homemade chai, which made me slightly wired, but that I will be making myself sometime.

Will-Doc-- Bar had produced the strange device, and neither Will nor Doc knew quite what to make of it.
Demeter-Bill-- She finds him out by the lake, sitting alone at the water's edge.
Will-Bill-- Bill squints, trying to keep the target from swimming while also trying to get his hands to cooperate with the bow and arrow, but too much whiskey with Will is making both things hard.
Waiting

When he turns to her, the pain in his eyes goes straight to the place where Kore should be and she hugs him tightly.
"Course, mean we've got plans," His heart isn't in it, he knows how cruel the doors can be and last time she left, she almost died.
So he leans into Demeter's hug and after many long minutes, finally smiles, she smells kind of like his grandmother used to after a day of baking.

Waffles
Date: 2010-09-01 03:15 am (UTC)When a bowl of batter was provided, Doc glanced at Will, who shrugged and picked up the ladle. Putting it on the thing was kind of messy, but once it was just barely leaking over the side, they decided it was good enough.
Bar was kind enough to plug it in for them and then they closed it and waited.
When the light went red, they flipped it and soon opened it, Will laughed, "Oh aye, waffles."

Battle
Date: 2010-09-01 03:09 am (UTC)They didn't let him bring his sword this time and he's missing it's weight at his side. The revolver doesn't weigh enough and it might shoot faster than his bow, but he can't see easily if it hits.
In the dust and the splinters of the house porch and barrels, they're hiding behind, he can't even tell if they're making a difference and so has been steadily cursing.
There's a moment of quiet and Billy, stupid Billy, pops up and grins before dashing out as Will and Doc follow. They're safe this time.

Jane hadn't spoken much about what had happened after she came through the door looking heartbroken a month ago, but Kate took it as a reason to take her shopping.
Now Jane was starting to actually smile though it was tempered by a knowledge that hurt to see. Jane reached for the simplest pants, formal while Kate pulled some and reached for a few more adventuresome pairs.
In time, they were trying on outfits and Jane truly smiled and hugged Kate whispering, "I will explain. I think I can speak of it."
Kate held her tight and said, "Later."
