New Year's Eve

ceitfiannaI'm in a rather odd mood today. I spent this morning making lots of afghan cookies for the open house tomorrow afternoon and just came back from grabbing Chinese food and picking up a copy of the Abhorsen Chronicles from the library, my copy is in Michigan. Also I'd like it if my ankle would stop hurting, it makes driving rather painful.
At some point, I'll have to move my computer elsewhere so that the dining room table can be prepped for the party and I also need to make up the walnut pesto recipe from Smitten Kitchen. I drove about in the rental car my parents got, which is an Eclipse and low and uncomfortable.
My plan for the rest of the day is a bit of tagging here and there, make pesto, move laptop, help with party set up and then tonight is mine.
My parents will be off to this crazy New Year's Eve thing they do at a local restaurant and I'm going to give canon a good look through, find some Touchstone icons and try and set up a few OOMs so that the big group ones can get going tomorrow. Now I need tea.
Probably later tonight I'll do a more year end post, but at the moment I don't quite have the energy for it.
