I'm feeling slightly grumbly due to a group meeting that could have gone better. I'm not going to go into a rant here, because its just how that person is. So in distraction have that roleplay meme that's floating around.

I'd have to say Demeter surprises me a lot, but I think that's because I'm not all that familiar with the Greek source. I click with the stereotype of selfish, self-absorbed, easily offended. And then she goes and does something like suggest chocolate body pain to Ryan and River. (He still says 'no thank you', btw.)

So I guess I'm not so quick to judge the gods anymore. Go you!

1. What would your character kill for? What would they die for? Her family but mainly her daughter. She prefers not to kill if she can help it since that's not her style but she will. Also she counts all the people she's kind of adopted as family.
2. What would they refuse to do under any circumstances? Why? This is hard because Demeter has a rather different moral compass. I think hurt a child.
3. What do they dream about? Time with her daughter.
4. What’s their biggest fear? Kore never coming back.
5. What single object would they be most hard pressed to part with? Why? I'm not sure, I think its not an object so much as the shared garden with Kore and their home. That place that's theirs.
6. What is their fondest memory? The day Kore was born.
7. What is their worst memory? The day Kore was taken from her.
8. What or who was were their most significant influence? Expound. Oh this is a tricky one because with her family, they all sort of influence each other. I kind of think Hera in some ways because Demeter sees herself as a balance to her.
9. What do they believe makes a successful life? Family, love, a piece of land to call your own and being able to enjoy it.
10. What makes them laugh? Life, modern views of sex.
11. What are their religious views? She's a goddess but she understands that people forget and I'm just not sure how to phrase it.
12. What is their greatest strength? How much she is willing to give if it will help a thing or a person grow.
13. Do they have a fatal flaw? If so, what is it? She gives too much and then feels its loss and so when she is angry, its never small. The earth shifts and changes.
14. Who is the most important person in their life? Kore
15. If they died, who would miss them most? How would they die? I think a lot of people would miss her though not all of them would know they'd met her. I'm not sure how she would die.

A: Yes, Demeter. So, so much so, even from before I got Kore-Seph in my head. Of course, then I DID get her, so your Dem is a lovely counter to what Kore-Seph's mental processes can do. And it's lovely seeing Dem being more than just Kore's mourning/angry mother.

1. What would your character kill for? What would they die for? He will kill to protect his friends or just those he feels are under his charge and he'd also die for him. Nobility with a bit of stupidity is part of the family.
2. What would they refuse to do under any circumstances? Why? Go back into Death, he's just too scared.
3. What do they dream about? Making things.
4. What’s their biggest fear? That he has to become the Abhorsen and will then fail not only his parents but the entire Old Kingdom.
5. What single object would they be most hard pressed to part with? Why? Again, its not really an object but a space. His workroom is his space and if he didn't have that he'd feel quite lost.
6. What is their fondest memory? I think the first time he had an idea for something and made all of it and it worked. I'm not sure what this is yet.
7. What is their worst memory? There's a tie, Hedge in Death and Blodwen in the Bar.
8. What or who was were their most significant influence? Expound. This is complicated, I think both of his parents but probably his mother most of all. Though its not a positive influence or at least not as much as it could be. He knows he can't live up to her and it kills him inside.
9. What do they believe makes a successful life? Being able to fulfill your duty and not fail anyone. There's another answer for him, but he won't even allow himself to consider the joy having the time to create brings him. So his answer is really defined by his family.
10. What makes them laugh? Nick's jokes and just strange things, he doesn't laugh enough.
11. What are their religious views? *eyes Nix* He believes in the Charter and knows it exists.
12. What is their greatest strength? His ability to create, its incredibly intuitive and powerful.
13. Do they have a fatal flaw? If so, what is it? He can only see himself in one role that of Abhorsen in Waiting and it traps him from seeing what else he might be. Also it draws him into making some very stupid mistakes as he tries to find ways out of it while still feeling like he's not running.
14. Who is the most important person in their life? His Mother
15. If they died, who would miss them most? How would they die? He comes close to dying many times and I think in canon really his close family and Nick would miss him the most. He has other friends but he loses track of them which I just find sad. In Milliways, I'm not sure, I think he might be surprised at the answer since he doesn't seem himself as likable.

A. Agreed with the Demeter. I never actually gave her any thought before reading/threading with her, but oh, man. I love her. I love the way you portray her, and the depth and character and personality you've given her. She's such a real goddess, and I pay so much more attention to her when she's mentioned (even in the Percy Jackson series!). Rock on.

B. Let's go with Tiwa, if I may.

Of course you may and Demeter surprised me but now I really love her.

1. What would your character kill for? What would they die for? It would take a lot to make Tiwa kill since that's just not something she does, but I think if it came down to her family, blood and adopted, then she might. Honestly she'd be happier to die for people than kill for them.
2. What would they refuse to do under any circumstances? Why? Destroy creativity in any form.
3. What do they dream about? This is a complicated one for her, but I think she dreams about what was lost in Arcadia but lately she's been having more nightmares about having been caught.
4. What’s their biggest fear? To not be able to fly.
5. What single object would they be most hard pressed to part with? Why? I'm not sure about this one because she's a bit of a magpie and so its not so much the objects as their connections. So she doesn't want to give back James' tie because they seem to keep missing each other and its a connection to him.
6. What is their fondest memory? First time she flew.
7. What is their worst memory? The cage
8. What or who was were their most significant influence? Expound. I'm not sure, she's influenced by lots of things but probably her family have just made her who she is so much and also the stories of New Zealand too.
9. What do they believe makes a successful life? Creativity, love, honor, joy
10. What makes them laugh? A lot of things but helping someone look sideways always makes her happy.
11. What are their religious views? She's kind of pagan I guess, its just hard to define since she's a Fae and also from a very different cultural tradition.
12. What is their greatest strength? Her optimism
13. Do they have a fatal flaw? If so, what is it? She will always put her time and energy into making sure someone else is laughing and happy rather than focusing on herself.
14. Who is the most important person in their life? I think her brothers since they keep her safe and define her in different ways.
15. If they died, who would miss them most? How would they die? She would be quite missed because of how much she puts herself out into the world. I think if she died it would be trying to protect her family and her world.

3. What do they dream about? A time when Nottingham is safe and actually doing well.

5. What single object would they be most hard pressed to part with? Why? The knife Robin gave him and the cross from Kate because they're both connections to people he loves.
6. What is their fondest memory? He has more of these than he did before, the first one that comes to mind is the first time he was able to feed his family.
7. What is their worst memory? Being tortured by the Sheriff and Demonized Kate and Doc.
8. What or who was were their most significant influence? Expound. Robin, because he inspires Will and shows him that he can be more than he ever dreamt of.
9. What do they believe makes a successful life? Security in terms of your family is safe, there's enough to eat and no one is chasing you. Also family and love.
10. What makes them laugh? A lot of things, Will's playful when given the chance.
11. What are their religious views? Oh these are complicated. Will's from a time when everyone is basically Christian and he is, that's kind of just there but he also fully believes in all the things he can't explain in Sherwood.
12. What is their greatest strength? His loyalty
13. Do they have a fatal flaw? If so, what is it? Again his loyalty, he will put himself before someone else in a second.
14. Who is the most important person in their life? Robin and Kate
15. If they died, who would miss them most? How would they die? I'm not sure who would miss them the most and this seems to be an odd question to me, but a lot of people. He would die trying to protect someone else.
