Trying Something New
Jan. 21st, 2010 01:37 pmToday is going to be a day of good firsts I hope. I'm going to try and get out to the stunt fighting group for an intro class and hopefully it will become part of my Thursday nights.
Also I think at 4, I'm going to head over the archaeology museum and listen to a panel talk about a Roman sacrophagus.
At the moment, I'm trying to decide if I'll want to actually walk home and then drive to the sword thing which is over by the stadium or instead just stay around town and catch the bus down that way. I might be able to walk it, but I'd still have to walk home. Also its at 6 and I don't finish work until 3, hm, I might just take the bus and then bus back and walk from town. This is doable and I'm kind of excited since I'd love if this became my Thursday thing of exercise and fun. Oh and this group seems to be where all the fantasy-sci-fi folks are hiding around Michigan so who knows, this could be a good start to a lot of things.
At some point, I think I might do that RP meme that's floating around, perhaps not today though. Question, has anyone on my flist read any of the books by Kij Johnson? I saw one of her books in a used bookstore and was curious and apparently Michigan has another of hers.
I will get all those drabbles done at some point too, I just haven't really had the brain for them lately.
