Associative Meme Part II

I really like this meme if you couldn't tell already so I've got two more sets of things to work on and today was great.

This morning was tiring and wonderful and I'm doing it again next week, also for a bit of fyi, I'll be in NYC Thursday night and probably back late on Friday since I'm going with my parents for a nice little trip.

We're going to do museums and see an opera, I look forward to being worn out and happy afterwards.

New laptop's here!

My new latop's here but I decided I'm going to go get myself some lunch and run some errands before I plunge into setting it up.

Hopefully it won't take too long and everything will work and before long I will be back and working. In the meantime, I'm off for a bit into the icky, grey day but I have a new laptop!!

On the new laptop

I'm on my new laptop which I've named Whiskey because like Whiskey in the Promethean books, its shiny and deceptively powerful and I'm not quite sure just yet exactly what its up to.

So far I've taken off a lot of things and found my ljlogin and aim, itunes was being a pain so it gets to wait and I also have to reinstall Windows Live One Care.

Its much bigger than I expected but really lovely and I'm trying to figure out the best way to get all my documents and pictures from my external HD to the new laptop and hoping that they'll be happy and talk to each other.

So I'm open to any advice on what to take off an HP and best way to get a mybook and transfer stuff, do I copy stuff or move or what?

Progress on the laptop

Well I have a number of things set up, Windows Live One Care is being odd and I'm not the only one having this problem but so far all the online suggestions aren't helping.

I've decided since tomorrow and Friday I'll be in NYC with my parents that I'm going to worry about it later rather than slogging through all the steps to reach a real person just yet.

I will later but for now I'm happy and going to start moving files over so I can change the background. Oh and also I'm having trouble installing itunes on my Vista, anyone have suggestions?
