Sep. 8th, 2008 05:13 pmI think that Mercedes Lackey's Elemental Masters series is making me like her again. She's one of those authors that I've always had mixed feeling about. I adored the Chrome Circle series but never really got into Pern yet these books remind me a bit of Sharon Green's Blending books but with more to them.
I think I like this series because each one is a different sort of story and I can see a bit of the classic they're based on but its mixed with really properly done world building and research. The characters are just fantastic too and really draw me in though the two I've read and am reading are really different; Phoenix and Ashes and The Wizard of London.
Also I have my car back and a present for my sister since her birthday is Wednesday which means that most of Wednesday and Thursday I'll be off to Pennsylvania to celebrate and see family again.
