A Good Day
Dec. 10th, 2007 09:14 pmToday I wrapped and sent off Christmas presents to my family and lots of holiday cards all around the world. So to celebrate that fact, I went and saw Atonement, which I highly recommend.
I haven't read the book its based on, but I was able to follow the plot which is a fascinating look at how actions are perceived.
Also James McAvoy is utterly brilliant in it as is Keira Knightley, which was a pleasant surprise because she's normally not one of my favorite actresses. Now I'm curious to read the book and get a different interpretation of the same story.
The filming is absolutely beautiful and truly a compelling movie, I left it thinking and stirred which is how I like to feel after a film.
Oh and when did Wellington get humid and hot, I miss the Wellington winds, its suddenly summer in December. The movie ended at 8:30 and I walked out and it was still light out, that's very odd to me. I'm planning on taking some pictures of the holidays in the summer and will do that soon, because its rather disconcerting seeing Christmas stuff and no snow and feeling hot.
