Finding my place
Nov. 10th, 2004 05:04 pmIts amazing, but today I feel like I finally fit. I woke up this morning and put on my new pants that I bought on Saturday and went to work. I was busy and productive at work and really felt like I was making a contribution. I've felt that before, but today something just felt better. Also I'm getting ready for my parents to come and visit for Christmas so I told my employment agency the time when I won't be working.
So now I've got to start thinking about Christmas presents and cards for friends and family which is always fun. I love buying presents and especially when there's so much cool stuff here. Also I get to try and think of something nice to get Rowan for his birthday. Presents are fun, because its a chance to search for something that fits the person and the search is just a lot of fun.
I also think one reason, I'm feeling good is that the weather is looking absolutely lovely sometimes, it goes between lovely blue sky and clouds within minutes. Yet its warm, I'm still not used to the idea of it being November and its Spring. Though I could get used to it. That's about it, I'm just feeling happy and comfortable where I am. There are always bad days when the flat can seem really empty, but that's what the cafes are for and lots of lovely bookstores. Since this is a good town to just walk and lots of pretty places to stop and read. And on Friday I get to have lunch with my connection at the university and that should be great. I think this year will be good.
