Thoughts on Music and a movie

I just came back from watching Public Enemies and I quite enjoyed it. I thought it was beautiful and I loved the careful use of the music because it was a nice change from some movies where you have lots and lots of music, here it was just spare and thoughtful. I wouldn't call it one of my favorite movies of the summer but a really well done one and I'm now curious to go read some non fiction about the real men involved.

In other nice news, I just rediscovered a band that I'd forgotten how much I enjoyed called Blackhawk. I heard a song of theirs in a grocery store and went I remember this song and I love it but not who sang it, alas_a_llama found out for me and went and found their greatest hits album.

I've been listening to it lately and really enjoying hearing all the songs I know and remember. Also I've got a fic idea dancing around my head based around Tiwa somewhere with Bones and Kite and saying, "This is what I do." Now I just need to figure out what the frame around it is.

Oh good. Well, I can picture what she's doing but I'm not sure which world she is. The neat part of my brain says it should be in hers but another part says, nah, that doesn't fit.

So I don't know, the image is so clear, just the setting is missing. As soon as I can figure it out, I'll let you know but I have a feeling this is going to be teasing at my thoughts for a bit.

Hee, in the meantime, Sameth is still eating my brain if you want to send a Kite to him. I think they could be interesting, he's in that teenage boy phase of I can't do anything right.

Let me share the image of Tiwa, she says that and then goes dancing and chanting off in a mix of feathers and girl so clearly she's inspiring and creating something, just not sure what. Fight doesn't work because honestly Kite is better than her, so its something odd, my brain is not being orderly which is not helpful.

I am getting ready to crash for the night, but will definitely be around tomorrow to tag him. I look forward to inflicting introducing him to Kite.

Brains are frequently squishy, tricksy bastards, but I like where this is going.

Sleep is a wonderful thing and seriously its open for ages because I really need to practice him.

Oh yes, I like the idea of this fic, I just need to play with it a bit more.
