Happy Fourth of July!

ceitfiannaI always enjoy this holiday because I've known it a number of small towns and I love seeing the strange and wonderful ways that people choose to celebrate. Its really one of those days when it feels like the entire country is having a party and its excuse to wear silly clothes, dress up your bike, boat or car and spend time with family and friends.
Today in Lewes there's an art fair and a boat parade, along with some other fun stuff. I walked around the art fair which sadly was mainly lots and lots of paintings of beaches or photos and some jewelry, there was some nice stuff but the craft fair has a much wider and more interesting selection.
I really enjoyed seeing all the families and tourists that are out though everything around Lewes is just crazier than normal since its a beach town in the summer. Then I walked by and looked at the boat fair before coming back here. Tonight is going to be very relaxed, I'm going to make peach cobbler with fresh local peaches and we're going to watch the fireworks from the top of the house.
