A Few Memes

Using this icon because I like it and the Mardi Gras thread with Tom and Jane has somehow ended up talking about marriage. I love the amount of depth that I keep finding in her but it also helps that dynsastessa is just brilliant and wonderful to play off.

Now for some memes that are floating around my flist as I relax since I have the house to myself for two days and just stocked up on some good stuff including cheap Easter candy. I last saw these over on newredshoes and I've been watching lots of Gossip Girl and just finished the first season of Pushing Daisies, two very different shows that make me smile and laugh.

Give me a character and I will give you at least ten facts about them according to my own personal canon. This can range from their birthday, favorite color or even their earliest memory up to what they had last night for dinner.

You post a topic, list, category, whatever, in comments. You know I am going to delve into the Diana Wynne Jones basket for this one. Rupert Venables!

This reminds me that I need to reread Deep Secret so I make no promises on sense.

1-At times Rupert has been quite jealous of his brother Will and the home he's made for himself.
2-Rupert is proud of being a Magus, but at times second guessing himself when he's worrying too much.
3-He has always wished he knew how to actually play a musical instrument so he could reproduce some of his favorite music but he just doesn't have an ear for it.
4-Rupert doesn't do well in complete quiet which is why he has so much music, it helps him think.
5-He loves logic problems and will forget about food and sleep and other thing when trying to solve one.
6-Cats bother him, they're too smug.
7-A rather larger percentage of his money goes towards clothing since he cares so much about looking right.
8-He's terrified that he might mess things up with Maree.
9-He has tried riding horses and much prefers to drive since his car can be his haven.
10-Rupert has seen the games he's played in stores and has never had any desire to play them.

1-Even though he acts like he's used to it, Will is still amazed at how in Milliways, there's so much food just there.
2-One reason he holds onto Kate so tightly is that he's so afraid that one time he'll walk out his door and never come back.
3-Will needs Sherwood, he's part of its magic and its world though he doesn't know how to say this. He just knows that when he hasn't been in Sherwood for a while, he's quieter.
4-Sometimes Will's temper frightens even him because he is aware of how dangerous he can be.
5-If asked what his favorite other world to go had been, honestly he thinks it would be Doc's because being an outlaw just felt right. Rescuing Doc from the gallows in some way felt as if he was balancing out something in the cosmic scheme of things.
6-Will is actually quite spiritual, though for his time its an odd combination of superstition and a real belief in something more in Sherwood. Yet he does worry about Heaven and Hell because he grew up with it though he doesn't really trust the Church.
7-Will feels like anything is possible as long as Robin is in the world because he makes things better.
8-He worries that no matter how long he's in Milliways, he's always going to feel horribly ignorant.
9-Though he understands what Doc and Kate mean when they talk about being anything, he's satisfied to fit whatever role Robin and the Lord have laid out for him.
10-Of all the drinks he can get at Milliways, Will still prefers ale.
