Last night, I was able to get the new modem all set up and working but the router's old so it has issues. That meant that most of last night was spent talking to the router company so we could get a level 2 technician to help us, which required paying them money. So we finally get that working and then my cell phone battery dies so I start recharging it, we call them and are actually given a case number. Our technician had left a message on my phone but no number to call back or case number.

At the moment I'm at the public library since the process of getting router to talk to modem had already started when my phone died and I don't feel up to disconnecting stuff. I'm going to enjoy an hour or so here catching up and actually being online and then maybe get some lunch. I was hoping to try and talk to the children's librarian since she's the one I really want to volunteer with but she's not in at the moment.

And I really feel like I'm getting sick, I don't know how much of this is just the wear and tear of dealing with all the internet stuff and how much is actually being sick but it sucks. I need to figure out something to do this weekend which will be silly and pampering and just for me after all of this mess.

Awwwww! That seems to be epidemic at the moment; [livejournal.com profile] carolinw has the same router-modem ded internetz problems.

As for pampering: get something pricey to put into your bathwater, and soak! I'd recommend something from Lush, but I don't know if they have one anywhere near where you live.
