Meme from the Flist
Aug. 18th, 2008 04:03 pmName a character that you know I write or have written, and I'll tell you:
a. What initially prompted me to like the character enough to write about him/her.
b. One of his/her best traits.
c. One of his/her worst traits.
d. How easy/difficult I find it to write the character.
e. The story/thread/chapter/post/paragraph/tag/phrase where I feel that I truly captured the character.
f. My plans (if any) to write the character in the near future.
Today's been good, walking into town was nice but now I'm quite happy to be in the AC, my car is in the shop and feeling content.

Date: 2008-08-18 10:51 pm (UTC)b) He's very sure of who he is and rather arrogant and confident, its so hard to shake him at times.
c) See above plus being a really crazy flirt, which is fun but also kind of nuts.
d) It depends, because of his canon which takes place in such a short time, I've kind of given up on following it. When he works, he's so much fun and I adore writing the over top narration and the music. Though he's pretty much impossible if I'm not feeling terribly good. I need to be happy to play him.
e) This one with Elizabeth Turner, because I feel like I got his layers down. He does have them and also it shows how clever and surprising he is.
f) I don't have any concrete plans for him since he's someone I play more on a whim or when he appears.

c) His temper, in a way its the part of him that's sort of youngest. He grew up having to fight so he knows how to use his temper and since being in Bar, he's gotten better at controlling yet its still there.
d) Will is insanely easy for me. It took me some time to get his accent as I wished, I think it was a few months in but once I got it, he was just there.
e) Oh this is really hard and changes every time I answer one of these because he just inspires me so much. I think at this point in time its this OOM where he goes to modern Sherwood with Kate and dealing with leftover of the demon stuff. I felt like I got that wonderful sense of him being a Legend and just an eighteen year old trying to do the right thing down.
f) Lots of ideas, he's had so much plot in Bar that I really want to get back to writing more Sherwood OOMs since I adore that world so much. Star's setting up an Underhill vacation for him and Kate, also he's going to Guppy's wedding, lots of stuff.

Date: 2008-08-19 11:53 pm (UTC)b) Her incredible capacity for love and giving, she will welcome and care for anyone she feels needs it.
c) The depth of her anger when roused, its a side that rarely shows in Bar but its frightening. Also how she doesn't forget slights done to those she loves, which is part of the maternal love thing.
d) She's actually remarkably easy for me since she's this wonderful combination of quite simple and deep and strange. Her story and Will's have some things in common and she has the balance of being who she is around mortals and being the Goddess. Though at times she's just louder than others, I've yet to figure out what exactly brings her out though.
e) Oh this is hard, some of her threads with Hades, I feel that those were challenging and really brought out all sides of her. She's one I feel pretty proud of how I write her.
f) I'm sort of scared and excited to take her through the season changes. I have some sources to reread and think about since this is the much more painful transition for her.
