The Rebellion's Security was built on code words, encrypted datacards and knowing where trust stopped. Cassian's database of pass words and code names for informants is structured around the safe spots and entries. Whenever he can, he makes certain to create codes using languages from a species that doesn't live in that system. K-2 takes care of encryption and will often tell him when his code names are too easy, but together they make it work.
