Title: A trifle lost
Summary: In which there is a great deal of confusion and some intimate matters are learned. I also got an idea for this one, which I could see expanding but I don't know to where.

Jane wished that she could make Lydia's hair lie straight, it was quite unruly and she felt as if her dress had far too many bows on it. Lydia had explained to her in rather clear terms that she was going to wear this dress and talk to certain soldiers and in exchange, Lydia would talk to Mr. Bingley. It all seemed doomed to fail because Lydia did not understand the idea of being quiet and thoughtful.

Normally she would ask Lizzie to help, but Lizzie and Mary kept having these complicated discussions about what was going on before playing the piano. The playing was better than it usually was but it did have a way of going into her head rather too much. Their mother had gone and hidden in her room and kept having fits, which no one had found a good solutin to. She at least appeared to be in her right body and their father was researching.
