Apparently I'm not working this weekend due to the intersession break. I knew another one was coming up, but it completely caught me off guard. So I'm home and relaxing and thought I'd share some more of my many pictures. The weather is beautiful today, sunny and not too hot, really the only not good thing today is my ankle. Apparently its decided to start hurting again. This is actually a reminder to me that I need to do some doctors' appointments before the semester is too deep; new contacts, ankle checked out, birth control and general health.

In the meantime, I'm going to post more pictures, this is a mixed batch with beautiful things I've spotted and the wonderful Punch Brothers.

When I saw this concert with [livejournal.com profile] sardonicynic and [livejournal.com profile] moofoot, I was for some reason in a photography mood. Later I felt worried that my camera was too bright, but for now, pictures I took. The picture below shows the amazing energy of these guys that I was trying to capture.

Our great seats, the Ark is quickly becoming one of my favorite venues in Ann Arbor, its small and not too expensive.

This is the picture I'm most proud of, Paul Kowert's hands, he just caught my eye and kept disappearing behind the other guys. So most of my pictures were hunt the bass player, this was the prize.

I saw this on the street and it made me smile, something beautiful created by the rain.

My parents' backyard in Lewes, we all call it Miss Mousie's garden in reference to a wonderful children's book I grew up with. In the story, this ardent gardener gets trapped by her beautiful garden. This is one of my favorite places in Lewes, to just sit and talk as the fountain goes and watch the birds.

This is the St. George bridge that we always drive by on the way to or from Lewes from farther north. I just love it and I'm so happy with this picture with the clouds in the background.

One of the utter joys of my vacation was reconnecting with [livejournal.com profile] erinmuse. We met up at Pendle Hill, where my mother had a meeting and I saw this sign and it just felt right. I haven't been to meeting in far too long, but I still consider myself Quaker. Things like Waysmeet remind me how Quakerism is something I want back in my life.
