In the Midst of a Maze
Oct. 11th, 2011 10:16 pmGEMINI (May 21-June 20): On the front of every British passport is an image that includes a chained unicorn standing up on its two hind legs. It's a central feature of the coat of arms of the United Kingdom. I would love to see you do something as wacky as that in the coming week, Gemini -- you know, bring elements of fantasy and myth and imagination into some official setting. It would, I believe, put you in sweet alignment with current cosmic rhythms. (P.S. If you decide to invoke the archetype of the unicorn, unchain it.)
Oh Uncle Rob, this feels very true and like a challenge to me as I look ahead. I have so many things that I wish to do and need to do and I feel like this weekend was wonderful and inspiring but now I need to hack off the chains of my self-doubt and call out to the world: I'm here and I'm going to be your youth librarian!
Two of the blog entries that I have planned are connected to this horoscope and talking about how my fandom world and my librarian really inform each other, but I'm a little scared to write them. Normally when I write blog entries, I tend to just write and then go back and edit but I'm at a point where I'm second guessing myself. I know I can go past this and this is a low point partly coming from the let down of the con, feeling quite sick yesterday and worries piling up on me. I'm hoping to get back into doing Monday to Monday as well since that helped me a lot last year.
Also on my list is finishing those prompts from the start of September since I haven't forgotten them. I might end up putting up another prompt post at some point as I find them quite inspiring. The list of unfilled prompts from
ineedmyfics is tempting me as well. I will be creative and free.
I haven't heard any news from
yakalskovich either, which is rather worrying. I hope she's doing better.
