Up and Down Day
Apr. 18th, 2011 09:42 pmI started today by discovering that it snowed in the night. I knew it was probably going to but snow in April is just odd to me even though I'm from Pennsylvania. Then I did a presentation on my idea for my InfoCulture paper, which is coming together nicely. I think if I just make myself write a bit every day and then power through on the weekend, it'll be done in time.
My body then decided to be unhelpful and after I sat down I just didn't feel good. The best way I can describe it is wobbly, lunch didn't help, more tea and a snack didn't help. I just had a shower and I feel slightly better but still wobbly. Luckily the group paper for tomorrow is just getting finishing touches and class isn't until the evening so I can rest. I really hope my body doesn't do what it did over winter break and go, oh you're done with classes, now you can be properly sick.
In the good parts, I found some awesome books for my niece's birthday, one by Lemony Snicket about an orchestra that makes me smile and a comic for younger kids called BabyMouse. I won't have anymore Monday classes and by this time next week, all of my papers will be in as the InfoCulture one is due a week from today.
The other not good part was that I saw firetrucks on my way home and worried. After having the building I lived in Wellington be set on fire right before I left, fire makes me nervous. It turns out the trucks were at my building, there had been a small kitchen fire and everything was okay. It just was another thing to make me want to hide away from the world.
