ceitfianna: (tea and a book)
I have a paper that I want to write, but I have no ideas for it so I'm home and feeling blah. Its a paper talking about Robin Hood illustrations, this should be so much fun, but I've never written about illustrations before and I want to do a good job for this class. So I think I'm worrying myself into not writing.

Oh and I have an internship interview on Thursday afternoon, I'm so excited and terrified all at once.

So to feel useful, I'm going to do that five questions meme from [livejournal.com profile] lordoflorien.
- Leave me a comment saying "Resistance is Futile".
- I'll respond by asking you five questions to satisfy my curiosity.
- Update your journal with the answers to your questions.
- Include this explanation and offer to ask other people questions.

1) By some crazy random happenstance, you get to switch bodies with someone (either real, fictional, or historical) for a day. Who would you pick and why?

This is a fascinating question and I don't have an easy answer for it, because most of the people that I'd think about switching with, I'd rather just spend time with. Like Christopher Chant from the Chrestomanci books or Brother Cadfael or just to live in Charles De Lint's Newford. I guess perhaps Tiwa, I'm not sure if using my own original character works or not but I'd love to fly and live in New Zealand again and being a Changeling would be amazing for a time.

2) You're awakened by a fire in your building. What things do you grab on your way out of your apartment, and why?

I actually had this happen my last year in Wellington and I pulled on my pants, put on shoes, grabbed my purse and the book I was currently reading and I think my camera was actually already in my purse. If you check the tags on this journal for New Zealand, you can read about it, it was around February of I think '08. It was one of the more terrifying experiences I've ever had of walking out my door and seeing smoke billowing down the hallway.

3) You win free round-trip tickets anywhere in the world (or worlds)! Where do you go?

Back to New Zealand without a doubt and then do a trip all around the Pacific, so many islands to see but always returning to Wellington.

4) What would you describe as a perfect day? Feel free to Milliways it up (meaning real rules of time/hours don't apply).

Waking up early enough to have a long day but also feeling like I slept in then having a wonderful breakfast with good friends, French toast, sausages, lovely tea. Then walking somewhere fascinating, a market or a museum, having lunch at a funky cafe and then going where our feet take us. Ending up home to make something all together for dinner and putting on a movie that we all love and just talking before we end up roleplaying into the late hours and sharing books and movie ideas. Actually when I went to Kentucky, I had a couple of almost perfect days like that because Crys and Ali are amazing hosts.

5) And return the favor: Anything you're currently reading, watching, listening to that you'd rec for me? :D

Sorcery and Cecelia, a charming young adult novel written in letter form that does Regency literature beautifully, its funny and I'm just reading through it so quickly. Also the Sherlock Holmes' soundtrack, it fits the crazy feeling of the end of the semester so well for me. The British science fiction series Primeval if you've never seen it, quirky and just well done. I think that's all for now.
