Internet!!

I woke up rather late today and had a phone call from Comcast saying that a guy will be coming over soon. He didn't arrive until around 2 o'clock and then it went really quickly since there was another cable jack with a really good signal.

So now I'm sitting at my desk watching cable with my net on local at the moment. I think I'm going to take back my linksys wireless router and try and buy a netgear one since apparently they're cheaper and more reliable. Though I'd love anyone's recommendations on a good and not too complicated router.

My day's started off quite well. I'm going to check in with flist and all before walking into town without hauling my laptop and actually be more relaxed and my shoulder will be happy. Then tonight I will be on much later since I can sit at my desk in my apartment and connect to everyone.

Also I uploaded a ton of pictures from my camera but I think I'll wait to do that entry tonight since I want to go and enjoy the pretty day and maybe pick up something good for dinner.

Now I just had a nice meeting with a second year SI student who's specializing in libraries and community informaniacs, it was quite nice. We had a lot to talk about and I look forward to talking to her later.

I've already made some other connections to more folks to meet up with along with other things. I think I'm going to do well here. Since the post will be huge, I'm going to do all the pictures on their own to not drown any flists.

Boxes on the way to A2

Right, this is going to be rather huge since I took a lot of pictures and I love documenting stuff. I'm going to start with pictures of boxes and end with my apartment as it is now. Also don't forget to hit up the newest prompt post.




These are the boxes that were in my brother's garage, all my books that I missed so much and now they're on my bookshelves and I'm rereading my way through the Pratchett Watch novels.

My Place

Now for the next round of pictures, I'm going to show you the progress of my apartment so far from bare walls to slightly fuller walls. It still has a way to go but I'm really happy with how it is so far.
