(no subject)

The nice face paint crayons that I picked up yesterday really don't work as well as I hoped. They're rather dry and pointy, not terribly greasepaint like. So my bird plan was given up when I couldn't actually see the yellow show up on my skin. I'm back to doing a fox but maybe at the grocery store I can find something better.

Tonight will be there since there will be lots of fun cooking and for now I must be off for lots of various errands. I'll take a picture when I'm happy with how my face looks, at this point I'm a red fox and should get some nice double takes.

Odd Day

Its weird, today has had some great moments, my makeup has made a lot of people smile when I went shopping which is what I love. I feel like I'm doing right as pooka, adding some extra smiles to the world.

Then I have moments when I feel rather grumbly, the party we're having tonight basically was a good friend of my parents saying we should do something for Halloween. So we're having a pumpkin themed dinner, Mom's making pumpkin soup, I'm making sort of pumpkin gingerbread and Dad's going to carve a pumpkin with his chainsaw.

The downside to all this is reminding me that while this couple is lovely and I love dressing up, I'd much rather be hanging out with friends in Philly. Also monster.com got me a job interview just somewhere I don't want to be so I'm feeling rather mixed up. A man just called me from Afliac in Salisbury, Maryland asking if I'd be available for an interview and I turned him down. Salisbury is an hour south of here, I want to go north so I said no.

I also kind of feel a bit sad that I haven't had any good Halloween ideas for Milliways since I had such fun with it last year. Well I'll start NaNoWriMo tonight and write about Tiwa and then tomorrow be off to Pa etc for the weekend. Tomorrow I'll be at my brother's so maybe on a tiny bit and then for the rest of the weekend, it all depends where we stay.

I would love if maybe on Sunday afternoon, it might be possible to have lunch with someone. Oh and I'm also going to do my mother's facial makeup so tonight will be good and next year, people my age and finding a way to go bird.
