Tech Woes

My parents not yet year old flat screen tv died last night but tech support has been nice so we'll see. Its bothersome but no big deal and I get to see Appaloosa tonight.

It looks like getting more icons for this journal is a definite and many people seem to think Demeter should have a paid account.

Movie and Books thoughts

Appaloosa is a beautiful and thoughtful movie, I recommend it to anyone who loves a well done movie. Though I hate to say it, Renee Zellweger who's an actress I can give or take was good but compared to Viggo, Ed Harris and Jeremy Irons, just not there. A bit too aware of being in a period piece while they just lived it, same with the beautiful other woman who's name I never caught. I want the soundtrack to this movie and to go horseback riding again soon.

Otherwise not too much else is new, oh yes one thing, Hexwood Farm is fast becoming one of my favorite Diana Wynne Jones' books, the woman's so good, I keep thinking this is my favorite and then find another I love. Sadly Throne of Jade while good isn't holding my attention the same way, I think these are books like the O'Brian ones that I just need to carry around with me and I don't devour the way I do Diana Wynne Jones' books.

Sadly with the tv broken until the company fixes things, my netflix queue will be a bit quiet, but just means more chances to enjoy my music collection.
