Five Questions Part II
Sep. 22nd, 2008 03:35 pmI have the fourth book of The Dalemark Quartet!! Also in the course of two days, I've read the second and third Percy Jackson books, if you like the world of myth and good adventure fiction, I highly recommend them.

lienne asked me another set of questions so going to answer them here. I really enjoy this meme though sometimes thinking of questions can be slightly hard.
1. What's a smell that brings back good memories for you and why?
I'm not sure if its a specific smell but a combination of smells from a North California garden. When I was in New Zealand, I would randomly walk by a garden with these smells and think of my grandmother who had this beautiful garden in Carmel and almost cry from missing her. She taught me to care and tend for the small things and just the joy a garden can bring.
2. If your life was a television show, what would be the plot synopsis of the first season?
Returning home, after a few years abroad, Kate returns to the US and tries to get her feet again, searching for a job, dealing with her parents retirement and remembering that she's not in New Zealand anymore.
3. Out of all the people you know, who's the one you most wish would give you flowers right now and why?
I feel sort of embarassed by this answer but its the truth, Phil Cook, my flatmate from last year. We never got any sort of closure and I still like him. Another time, another place, I would have dated him in a heartbeat and if he gave me flowers, I just would feel that maybe I did something right in our friendship.
4. What's one of the best birthday presents you've ever received?
This is a really hard one for me since I've had a lot of good birthdays and its hard to pin things down. I think one of the best ones was traveling Greece and Turkey with my parents and that gift of them letting me show them this place I found, also I got an awesome leather jacket but that's sort of to the side.
5. Out of all the nicknames you've ever been called, what's your least favourite and why?
Katie and any variation. My real name is Kate and the list of people I feel comfortable calling me Katie is tiny, but its something that people who don't really know me feel happy to do. It makes me feel like a little poodle for some reason and just not like me.
