A Question for the flist

Right, my parents and I have decided that I'm going to get a car before I take my driver's test so I'm comfortable with it.

So I'm here to ask your advice, I'm looking for something compact but not tiny, a back seat is important, fuel efficient and comfortable to drive.

We have Consumer Reports to look over, but I'm curious about everyone's experiences of cars they prefer and like.

Also this weekend I'm going to do a huge, picture post of Wellington finally since I feel light enough and wonderful to share the place I love.
