Also I stood in front of a group of wee children and made up stories on the spot, they gave me subjects and I turned them into tales. Then at the talent show at Longacre, I told my first grown up story and it was of Will's hanging for he's been in my head a very long time.
I remember the wonderful feeling of the audience in that old barn listening to me and for the next four summers I went to Longacre, I told stories to children and adults. My closest friend was Erin, who has been my friend since we were quite small and still is, she's the quiet to my loud and talkative and the elder child to my youngest.
I played with her younger brothers and pets and enjoyed her house full of all the lovely things while in my house we made up wonderful complicated pretend games. Now she's in Portland, getting a masters in education and I'm finishing up here, Erin with her lovely red hair that I've always been jealous of.
I miss telling stories and I hope if others will allow, perhaps at Millicon I may tell a tale or two for everyone. Now please ask for a year or tell me another one, I like this meme.
