Merry Wet Christmas!!!
Dec. 26th, 2006 03:56 pmToday has been wet and chilly and so perfect for a Christmas spent by the fire with oatmeal for breakfast and presents throughout the day. Also the Eagles beat Dallas 23 to 7 in Dallas so Christmas is even better. Wonderful family friend Phil Bartow is on this side of the country taking a break from caring for his mother in Seattle and that was a joy. Brother Robert called from Pittsburgh and his family said hello. Last night, brother Aaron took a break from shucking oysters in France to say Hello and inform us that the French postal service is on strike. Let's see, I know have my very own copy of Firefly, yay and I'm going to watch an episode before I go to sleep.
Merry Christmas and other lovely things to everyone and thank you to Nic Sando and Fraser for including me on the very odd Christmas wishes email. Always nice to get a greeting from an unexpected source. I feel very lucky with my family and home and I hope those with chancier families had a lovely holiday. I hope the weather was nicer in New Zealand since its been raining most of the day today and is still pouring down. I have refound the joy of baking, Stafford House did not have an oven, so I've made up for it by making gingerbread and bread and other such things. I'm now rambling, but I feel very joyful, Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays if you're not a big fan of Christmas in that case Happy Winter or Summer depending on your hemisphere!!
