I arrived back in Wellington yesterday afternoon and it felt nice to unpack and not share a room with anyone. I caught up with Phillip and realized that Emily had moved out. I guess I should have updated, but I was having a great time in Sydney so didn't get around to it again. My days were quite busy after the Blue Mountains, on Saturday I went and spent the majority of the day at the Taronga Zoo from 10am to 4pm and just had a great time. Its a really lovely zoo, well thought out and in a beatiful place on the other side of the harbour from the opera house and perched up a little too. I went to a bird show, and a seal show and just enjoyed the nice weather. By the end of the day, I was worn out from the sun and walking and very happy. Sunday was another day of walking, this time around the Botanic Gardens, but a slightly lazier day, more stopping and reading. Also mixed in with museums and walking was coming back to the hostel and watching the World Cup. I watched the entire England Ecaudor game, which was okay and only slightly dissapointing play, but with England fans who are more pessimistic than Philly fans. On Tuesday night, I went to the Opera House and saw a really nice production of Romeo and Juliet, with simple staging and costuming and very well acted. Oh and also during that day, I went out to Bondi beach and read on the beach, had a lovely greek meal and just relaxed.

I know I can go into more detail, but at the moment, I just feel rather worn out. I think I caught a cold or something since I'm sore and my head's all clogged up. I've been taking my medecines so I don't think its allergies. I was even good and did some research on Pindar, and once I get through all the reading for this chapter, it will be interesting to write. I liked Sydney though its a bit big for my tastes, but its got some lovely places to be and the people are really nice. Though its amazing how different Australia is from New Zealand, in some basic ways, Oz has tons of venomous snakes and spiders and big critters that can eat you. New Zealand had flightless birds and lots of green. Okay, head being clogged isn't helping, there were differences, just at the moment, my heads too stuffed up. Oh and it was great, I got back and found another birthday present waiting for me, which just made me smile. And postcards have been sent out, the ones to New Zealand will probably arrive in a day or two and I'm not sure about the ones to the US. Now I"m going to go and catch up with Rowan and drink tea and hopefully roleplay tonight. If not, then I watch a dvd and try and feel better.
