I enjoyed this meme since it got me to think about some things I haven't in a while. Thanks to whoever created it and hopefully by tonight I will know if I have a job at Borders or not.

1. celtic music:
   For me I love celtic music since its connecting to my own history and in some way it just feels me fulfilled. I want to dance or just listen and I'm always happy.
2. classics:
   I got into classics because I love history and was curious about it from hearing some Homer in the original Greek. Since then I've gotten hooked on the various languages and the music within Greek. I hope to go back to school and study the transition from oral to literate cultures in the framework of Greek and Latin.
3. flute:
   Since I was little, I always wanted to play the flute. My mom told me I had to learn the piano first, for which I'm grateful. I love being able to create sounds from this beautiful instrument. I'm not that good, but there are times I play for the joy of it and I love the strange, otherworldly sounds that come out of a flute.
4. larp:
   Live Action Role Playing is something I got interested in high school and ran my own game at college. I love the combination of improvisational acting, being able to truly immerse yourself in a character and a world. I've had games that I hated, but I love being able to put on another character and just enjoy visiting someone else head and world for a bit. And I love dressing up and making sure I look like the character.
5. maritime history:
   I've always loved history and I became paticularly interested in maritime history when I interned at the Independence Seaport Museum and was able to read and touch 19th century logbooks. I love the fact that there were people who got on these boats of wood and set out around the world with little control of what they would find. Also the closer I am to water the happier I am.
6. quakerism:
   Both my parents converted to quakerism before I was born and so I grew up in a Quaker family. What this meant for me is that I don't associate religion with ritual or anything fancy, its about being gettin together and talking about how god makes them feel and marigolds at Easter. I'm also grateful to Quakerism since its allowed me to be open and curious about other religions since it pretty says there's god in all of us, its up to you how you interact with him.
7. sailing:
   Sadly I've only gotten to go sailing a few times, but everytime I have I love it. I feel a great connection to the water and the wind and its just one of my favorite things to do. Not always easy or cheap to do, but there's a wonderful feeling of being on a wooden boat and your movement is dictated by the water and wind and nothing else.
8. storytelling:
   I discovered I was a storyteller at Longacre telling stories to little kids and its something I feel I do truly have a gift at. I love the feeling of being able to change a story as you watch the audience and see immediately what works and what doesn'. I cherish those moments when you realize taht the audience is completely within the world you created and there's silence when you stop as they bring themselves back to the real world.
9. tarot:
   I became interested in the tarot in college through a friend and then realized that it was a powerful way for me to connect to various feelings and senses I possess. In college I bought myself a beautiful tarot deck called the Fairy Wicca tarot and it has depth and beauty in it, which acts as a gateway for my own intuitions. I've read the tarot for friends, strangers, family and myself and I always discover something about the person and myself whenever I read. I don't understand them but I respect them and what they allow me to see.
10. walking:
    My favorite method of getting anywhere is to walk, tis the perfect pace to compose a song, think about a story or really see a place. I love getting to a new city and walking and getting lost. I also cherish being able to walk out in nature and be among trees, or beside the ocean just to walk and sometimes ignore where you might actually be going and instead just wander. Some of my favorite inspirations came while I was walking and also while walking I fell in love with Rowan. Since finding the right person to walk beside is a gift. Someone with which to wander and get lost, talk or just be beside each other.
