Goth Night and Alien vs Predator
Oct. 2nd, 2004 11:27 pmMy job rocks, yesterday was a long, tiring day at first, because I had stayed up far too late talking with Rowan and still had to wake up for work. So the day started too early and was just really busy. Though we did have a nice morning tea party that was fun. Then at the end of the day when everyone just wanted to have the day end, the supervisors came around and asked if we wanted either a glass of wine or bottle of beer. I went for wine and it was a lovely end to work.
Then I went back to the hostel and got changed for the goth night. I even got out my satyr boots and met up with Rowan. Things then went kind of sideways as Mark the guy organizing kept changing the plans meaning that things just got confusing and Rowan got stressed. In the end, I did both of our makeup and got pictures, finished my third role of film here. We also saw Alien vs Predator on our own, which was fun and not terribly scary. There are times when you can see exactly the movie they take things from. Though overall it could have been worse. We finally met up with the rest of the group afterwards, who went to the late show and it was slightly odd since apparently a drama happened with who was going. A good night though.
Today the weather can't seem to make up its mind, sunny and rainy, but still feels like Spring. My plan is to try and get to a botanic garden that's near the uni since I haven't seen it yet. Oh and there's a place here that actually has good bagels, so life is good. There's also a chance, knock on wood, I might get to move into the flat soon.
