Catching up
Jun. 4th, 2004 11:39 amI know I haven't posted for a while, life's just been busy as always. The busy this time being put the house I grew up in on the market. May 23rd was the open house, but it hasn't sold yet so we have to keep it really clean. Now I'm actually kind excited about selling the house, this feels like the right time in my life and my parents to move on and its been a wonderful place. I've got some awesome memories from here, since I was three when we moved in. Only since it didn't sell at the open house we have to keep it fairly clean and clear in case our realtor wants to bring someone to visit. So at times, it just doesn't quite feel like my house.
Let's see, I've also been busy with my internship and job. I'm having a really fun time reading all these things Swarthmore students have applied for money to do and its inspiring me and reminding me that you don't really need a lot of money to accomplish some pretty cool stuff and that you can make a difference in your own small way. I also just feel good because I'm taking stuff in boxes that's not too organized and putting it in a database which I learned how to make. Also last weekend rocked, my entire family plus significagant others, mine included just generally hanging out, reading, looking after my two incredible nieces who have really large batteries in them and just lots of happiness. Family is one of the most amazing blessings out there and I know sometimes my brothers get annoyed at each other but we all still talk to each other and like each other, and that's something to be grateful for. This weekend, Geoff and I are going to see two one act Gilbert and Sullivan plays at Longwood Gardens courtesy of a charity my dad works with, because at the moment my parents are driving in the Corvette to Cleveland Ohio for my dad's fortieth medical school reunion. So life is busy and good.
