Back in Limbo

ceitfiannaI feel like I don't really fully exist here yet. There's a flat I will live in, but I don't know when and jobs aren't really happening since I don't have a phone number. Apparently you need a mobile or phone number to truly exist so I think today I'll invest in one. Though I have started to feel like a belong a bit more. I went to the employment agency and they said there's nothing just now but keep in touch.
So that just brought me down a lot and I walked for a while and called my Aunt Harriet's friend in New Zealand, a woman up in the North Island since I just wanted to hear a friendly voice. And I think one of the first big trips I make will be up to Rotorua to meet her since just over the phone she welcomed me a lot. Sadly she doesn't have any friends in this part of the South Island, but I'll manage.
After this I was feeling very alone and so I went to sit in the student center at the University of Otago and I sat in an empty chair where some other people were and read for a while. Then I started talking to these three guys, who reminded me a lot of my friends. One of them even had a bit of the Silent Bob attitude. I talked with them for so long I lost track of time then we had a nice cheap dinner and one of them even gave me his phone number and said to keep in touch. I'm starting to find my place here and I think its time I invested in a mobile phone so I can exist some more and have a better chance of earning some money. And I got to talk to Geoff for a little while and that did so much for me, because we're both trying to find our place. I can do this even though it feels really hard at times. The trick is finding these to keep me busy other than just walking the city. Time to get a mobile and find a way to fit in better in this place.
